10 Ways to Simplify Your Week

Hi Friends!

I admit I often feel out of control when the weeks get busy. And let's be honest, the end of the school year is just hectic! Between dinner, twirl and soccer practices and weeknight obligations, end of year parties and performances...everything piles up.

But, I try to find ways to simplify my week so I feel less overwhelmed. I hope some of these might help feel a little less stressed as you go about your week!

Ten Ways to Simplify Your Week:

  1. Write all your tasks down daily. I prefer paper calendar, but digital list will do. I focus on 3-4 tasks I know I can accomplish each day. Cross them off as you finish each item!

  2. Declutter your physical living space for a clearer headspace. It can be as simple as wiping down the counters each day, picking up all the random things and putting them into a catchall basket. Starting the day without the clutter sets me up for success.

  3. On Monday, set tangible goals to achieve by Friday.

  4. Write down the worries you cannot control! Often the worries are to-do tasks so brain dump them and then schedule when to do them.

  5. Disconnect from your phone! I leave my phone at my desk while I walk to pick up my lunch. It does not DND each night. I leave it out of reach when I am watching TV and it does not go into E's room when we read at night! Be more present and more productive.

  6. To save money, I may add to cart, but then I click away and see if I still care about it later. I have a change jar and clean out my car/purse once a week and add it to the jar. I set a monthly Starbuck's limit. When its out, its out.

  7. Have a go-to meal each week. Breakfast for dinner? Taco Tuesday. Make it simple.

  8. Unsubscribe from emails you don't need to receive.

  9. Prepare for tomorrow – lay out your clothes and pack your lunch the night before.

  10. Savor 15 minutes of alone time each day. It doesn't have to be in the morning. It can be sitting in the garage in your car for 15 minutes before you walk in the house. Just find a minute for you.

Hope these help!
