5 Beauty Products I Can't Live Without

If I could find the Fountain of Youth, I'd go to the depths of the earth, but since I am not that adventurous and who has the time for a hunt, I rely on few tried and true products to keep my face, less on the old hag spectrum and more on the wow, you look your age spectrum.

These range from some drugstore brands, popular beauty brands, medical grade skincare and clean brands. So, let's dive in!

Facewash

Simple. No harsh ingredients, nothing fancy. My doctor loves it. That bottle you see has lasted me a lifetime. I use a couple other ones that I love, but this is my go to.

Other cleansers:

Moisturizer

BeautyCounter Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion is my go-to. Lightweight, clean product. It's what I come back to time and time again.

For night, I go between two: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Moisturizer and ZO GROWTH FACTOR SERUM. Love ZO products and nothing beats medical grade. This one feels luxurious and truly hydrates. I use this one on the nights I use my retinol.

Serum

If I had to pick just one serum or specialty product, its ZO Daily Power Defense. It goes on under my moisturizer and I wear it even on days I am not wearing makeup.

SPF

I have talked about it before, by my go-to is a tinted moisturizer with 50 spf: Colorescience Total Protection Face Shield Flex SPF 50 I wear it as my foundation almost daily. I wear it to E's soccer games, when I sit by the pool... you name it. Love it.

Treatments

So, I use a prescription retinol, but the other product that I love for my aging and still acne prone skin is SkinCeuticals SILYMARIN CF Another medical grade product that just has done wonders for my complexion and keeping hormonal acne at bay. I use it on the days I do not use my retinol.

I get all my medical grade skincare locally from a wonderful doctor, Emily Johnson. Dr. Johnson is the only triple board-certified female facial plastic surgeon in Fort Worth, Texas (and she happens to be my sorority big sister). She also does my Botox and other treatments. If you are in Fort Worth, 817 Surgical Arts is the place to go.

I use lots of other skincare and beauty products, but these 5 are on permanent residence in my beauty arsenal!
